|
|
Ok I've shopped around Cheonan, and been to COEX mall and have so far struck out in my attempt to find size 12 (280 cm) sneakers. I was looking only at Nike, found a nice pair for a decent price, but the largest size they have is a 10 1/2. Can anybody tell where I can find sneakers in my size? Should I buy on the internet? Any help would be appreciated.
thanks |

The only place I can buy shoes in Korea is Itaewon. My shoe size in Korean is 285 and Korean shoe stores generally only carry up to size 280.
My western size is 11 |

Actually I thought they weren't that hard to find. My workmates are 290 and found some in the local carrefour.

I've gone to a different place each time. Sorry can't help you more than that. |

My boyfriend takes Korean size 300. He got lucky at Adidas once and found a pair of sneakers. He also got boots at Columbia in Itaewan. Otherwise, I had to bring him sandals and shoes from Canada on my last trip home. |

I've never had any trouble finding shoes that fit anywhere. I wear 285. I found a pair of Nike Air Crosstrainers at the local Nike store and got 285s, no problem.
If the store you've gone to doesn't have your size, then just try another one. Nike shops are all over Seoul (and even out in the sticks where I live). |

I think size 12 is actually 300, not 280. That is my size and it is hard to find shoes, but I see tall Koreans so there must be a place. |

this may or may not help but I did see VERY large sized nike sneakers at the old Hyundai Department Store in Inchon. The departement store is no longer using the Hyundai name and it's a sort of outlet place with boxes everywhere. |

I'm a 300 and get my sneakers at Tongdaemun, behind the stadium. All sorts and at a decent quality.
Suddenly reminded of an old joke: a slutty chick comes into a pharmacy and asks the pharmacist, "Do you carry extra large condoms?"
Pharmacist: "Yes, would you like to purchase some?"
Slutty chick: "No, but can I wait here until some guy does?"

Thanks for all the info, I'll probably be heading into Seoul this weekend, so I'll check Itaewon and Dongdaemun. |
