Single-layer disks are MUCH cheaper if you can opt for them. I bought 50 Sony DVD+R for 15K Won. |

The price mostly depends on the burn speed they are compatible with. The cheapest DL DVD's burn at 2.4X. I got 10 (or was it 20?) of those for about 20,000 4 months ago. Verbatim. Good brand.
The expensive ones burn at 6X. pricey.
Of course, it's vital to know what speeds your computer's DVD burner can do. My old LG burner could only do 2.4X. My new one can do 6X.
Also, hours of internet research may be required if you don't want to make a lot of expensive coasters. Putting the layer break in (the point where layer 1 ends and layer 2 begins) is the tricky part. |

I've had good luck with Ricoh DL disks. They aren't too expensive, either. About 2,000 a piece, or a bit less.
Never go cheap on discs. I had a collection of 50 DVDs I'd backed up on cheap discs, and only about 1/3 of those are still working after just three years. |
