Half the non-korean people I know are Canadian.

Then there's the TOKEN scot.

It seems as if many recruiters are from, and operate out of, Canada.
Do they advertise on the streetside for Korean english teachers there?
Or maybe in the bathroom stalls?

I recall a friend of mine who broke down while studying for the GCAT in Canada, screaming" It's no use, I'm gonna fail the exam, won't be able to get a job here. I'm gonna wind up being stared at and called a big blonde freak in Korea!" Shocked

Truer words were never spoken, she passed the exam and after earning an MBA followed her boyfriend here to a tiny little town, where the pointing and staring were as inescapable as kimchi.

That oughta tell you how common it is for Canucks to come here.

With the Mongolian, I'd be worried about her picturing me between 2 slices of bread.

I play for an irish team in the expat football league, so therefore most of the friends i have made through that have been irish.
In fact, ive met so many that im surprised the poll didnt have a category for them........
Surely you weren't referring to them as British? I havent met one that would be happy with that description.

I'm into my 5th year here, and 99.99% of my best friends have been aliens, mostly from Korea. Laughing
