Hey,

Just wanted to know how easy it is to find a decent place to lift weights in Korea. Does anybody know of any good gyms in Daejeon?

All the best,
Thanks.

There are gyms anywhere. I cannot recommend any particular place but just look around when you get here.

I pay W48,000 per month for a very nice place - up on a high floor with a nice view of the smallish city I live in and the mountains that surround it. Half the time there's fewer than 3-4 people there. Top notch equipment.
I shower at home though as the shower room is gross.

The Zark is bulking up! Grrrrr

I pay about 60 000 for a gym that is 1 year old. All new equipment with a great view of the mountains and city also. However, the showers kick ass. I would rather shower here than in my own house.

One thing to consider about showering at a gym here is the lack of knowledge about how to clean such rooms. Your place might be clean, but the shower room I used to use - was cleaned once about every three months, the toilets were filthy, other people would spit on the shower floor - even as you were showering. Wouldn't be surprised if they were urinating on the floor too. Maybe not such a big problem if it was cleaned daily - as it should be, but when there is green slime growing around the edges . . .
Just don't want to deal with wierd stuff growing on my paws.
