Joe, that guam idea sounds good, I just don't wanna wait until the end of my contract to go home and get some new work. |
I plan on visiting Guam a few times while in SK. It's but a few hours away and there's beaches, English, western shops with western sized clothes, etc. It would be a place to get a person's head together.
I bet you could get a good pcakge deal for Guam in SK.
I'm running out of places to be inked, but I usually get my work in the states.
Cheers,
Joe |

A Korean woman whose sister own a Tattoo shop in New York City advised me not to get a tattoo in Korea. The quality was just not good enough, she said.

There is a place in Itaewon, but its gross and the workers look strung out and its dirty. But its cheap, if your not too scared of the hiv. |

Chances are higher you'll get Hep than HIV, though HIV is possible.
The Taiwan tattoo scene was just as bad.
Hong Kong, Japan, Thailand and Guam are your best bets if you want ink done in Asia. You can find safe, clean, professional, high quality work there.
Out of curiosity:
Who's got the most tatts on the ESL forum?
Joe's got 10. 6 I will show friends, 4 - only ex girlfriends - and people at onsen in Japan have seen.
First one I got at 14 - about a thousand years ago.
Most recent one: last month.
Sad, but I only ever wanted 2 - then it morphed from there.
Cheers,
Joe |

just got mine done in Itaewon (13X13cm) on my right shoulder blade.
the vincent studio.....
experience was amazing. this was my first tat and i would definitely advice to at least check them out. it is actually a dermatologist who does this. the feel is just like you are in a skin clinic. clean, friendly staff, fluent english and decent pricing.
After reading few posts here I was kind of iffy just to walk in there....and I was amazed at the cleanliness and friendliness of the pace.

I am going to Vincent as well, but for Tattoo removal. Very clean, very professional. I'd recommend them. |

Having been to Guam, I think you might be a bit disappointed but it. It's tiny, very expensive, almost entirely lacking in nightlife, and entirely resort based. It is pretty though. |

I'd definitely recommend Tattoo Korea in Gangnam-gu in Seoul. Check out their website. |

sm, I am glad you reopened this topic. I most definitely agree with recommending Tattoo Korea. I got a back piece done there and absolutely love it! It's a little pricey because Aerok gets all his supplies from California. Very clean and very professional.

i actually happened to get a tattoo on my left chest area few days ago. It was my first tattoo so not sure if it felt professional or not but results are looking good.
The place was clean and safe, the guy was very helpful into getting me exactly what i wanted. Although he doesnt speak English I'm sure if you brought him exactly specifications of what you want and where you want it, language wont be an issue.
The place is very near SUWON station and is called Tattoo Heaven.
