Cilla,
Masan is a pretty standard city. Very dirty, crowded and old. While it is not a bad city there is seriously nothing there to make you want to live there. Just down the road is my lovely city of Changwon which is the only planned city in Korea with plenty of parks and gardens. However, Busan is only about 40 minutes away on a good day and Seoul is about 4.5 hours. Don't know much about the school, sorry. |

Cilla, I don't mean to barge (well, yes, I do), but you have an awful lot of posts all asking about jobs/cities in the south.
I lived in Chang-won for 3+ years, and everyone I know agrees - it's a WONDERFUL city to live in.
When I first was there, I wanted more nightlife, and having a car, I would frequently travel over to Ma-san & then Jin-hae. Neither seems very appealing to live in, given a choice.
I would recommend Ch'ang-won also, if you want to be in the southern coast. But, if you pm/e-mail me, I'll tell you about any other city around there I know about. And that's a fair number of cities!
Good luck on the hunt, & I DO appreciate you taking your time to research it . . .
Regards,
Glen |
