I know up until a year ago, one could remain in korea up to 14 days once their E2 expired. Went to Immigration, talked with the nice, courteous and knowledgeable folks there and all I talked with came up with a different answer to the SAME question! (I wonder if they actually have to graduate elementary school to work for the government) Customer service is great in korea! I asked about a WEB site that might have the answers, no response. So, anyone out there know the answer to the question? WEB site? Links? |

I just received a paper in the mail stating that my period of stay expires on March 20th,2003. But, i am not leaving Korea until March 22nd,3003. Do I have to go to the immigration office? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!! |

Take your ticket and passport to your local immigration office and ask for an extension which you can get up to one month. There is a charge for this. It might be possible but to get out of it if it'e just two days. |
