All you can eat Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Western buffet near Ssangmun station area in North Seoul.
It's called Fishers Market. I've been scouring the web for a link but I can't seem to find one. It's a nice place, very family oriented, with a kids playroom attached, but that being said, it's still got some style and class. |

This is a quality thread, and needs more contributions. There's a seafood spot called "Viking" in Eungam, just to the south of the Seobu Hospital, on the west side of the street, north of the Eungam Ogeori. It's delicious. |

Well if you're cheap and you want 고기 Buffet aka Meat Buffet ~ there are a bunch in one area in SinChon and they cost around 7,000 ~ 8,000 per person. They're all barbeque...you go in grab the meat and start BBQing on your own. Some of them have some side dishes like pancake and kimchi stuff like that. |

Try the happy hours buffets at certain hotels, like COEX Intercontinental, the Sejong Hotel and the Sofitel. For between 20,000 to 25,000 won, you can eat from their buffet and drink draft beer and wine to your heart's content from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. |

I'll tell you one that you should avoid: Marrakesh, in Itaewon.
W13,000 buffet. Arrived at 7pm. Most of the food was already gone, and they never brought out more! The "chicken" dish was chicken necks. I've never tasted cold samosas, and I never want to again. Everything was soupy and runny, and not conducive to slopping it up with naan, which is exactly what makes this kind of food fun and palatable.
I had originally planned to eat at the "Foreign Restaurant" on the hill, which has a decent Indian buffet for W16,500 (including all-you-can-stomach hummus, which is worth the price right there). I was waylaid by a tout, and I have to spank my own asscheeks for allowing myself to be bamboozled. |

IMHO, Foreign Restaurant is the best Indian food in Korea. |

Any Thai buffets? |
I don't know about Seoul, but if you go to Songtan (line 1 to Cheonan) there is a Thai buffet at a hotel just outside the US military base for W15,000. They have some good stuff; I wasn't super-impressed but I'm not well acquainted with Thai food so I'm not a good judge. There is some good shopping in the neighborhood so it might be worth the trip.
The only other buffet I've been to so far is Taj Palace in Itaewon, just off the main drag and close to the fire station, I think. There is not a large selection but what they have is excellent, IMO. The buffet is weekends 11AM-11PM. W16,500. |

Is this everyday or only certain days of the week? |
Monday through Friday, with the COEX one valid through Saturday last time I checked.
The hours for Sejong is 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The COEX (and I believe Sofitel) has a Philippine band doing covers. |

Clothes, blankets, luggage, etc. a couple guitar shops, and the prices seem to be better than in Seoul. There is a good selection of westerner-oriented restaurants too, outside the base. I haven't been around long so I'm sure there's more I don't know about. |

Okay, I have some more references now.
1. I went to the Chakraa branch in Songtan, since the "real" restaurant critics seem to prefer Chakraa. I wasn't terribly impressed. The buffet was not quite up to the level of Taj Palace, imo, and this was more expensive, at 18,000 won.
2. Some guy in Itaewon was handing out flyers for a Mahi Raja (or something like that) Indian/Pakastani Restaurant with a 13,000 won buffet, so I went there. It was kind of what I imagine Indian home cooking would be like, which is okay but not something you pay 13,000 won for. Where I come from, it might be a 6 dollar buffet.
3. The Foreign Restaurant in Itaewon! I went there today and I'm definitely going back. A good selection, and most of it was delicious. My biggest quibble is that the sign outside the door advertised the buffet as 15,000 won, but it is actually 16,500 with "tax". Do other restaurants charge this "tax"? I don't know. But the price still isn't bad. And they have MINT SAUCE! |

Has anyone tried Oriox @ the new Times Square building?
Also, what about Spongy in Omokgyo? |
