http://www.eslcafe.com/forums/korea/viewtopic.php?t=753&highlight=fukuoka+beetle

Look at that URL, and there is some information about the Beetle Fairy.

And the train from Seoul to Busan will be between 25,000 and 35,000 won.

the train leaves from Seoul Station 133 on the blue line, you need to book ahead for the train on the weekend it's always sold out, resvervation is YE-YAK, and you probaly want the MU-GUNG-HWA-GO, it's 5.5hrs, and costs 21,500 (with membership?)weekdays and 22,500 or so weekends. (the fastest [SAE-MA-UL-HO] is about 10,000 more but only an hour faster, don't know if it's more comfortable though) here is their website:

Kangsan travel has a ferry(jet foil) deal 180,000 for return trip plus a one night hotel stay:

exchange your won to yen before you go! i've read that many times~

been there, done that, t-shirt eeso...

went to shimonosekki, and when you get back to korea and tell all the kids where you went, they will bust out laughing (and adults will blush) because shimonosekki sounds quite similar to something rather naughty...

cost was around 60,000 one way...(you can pay more for your own cabin, but it ain't worth it)...we slept on the floor in a huge communal room...it was a fun time...met lots of cute girls and played poker with some college kids...the food sucked...sleeping was a bitch 'cause of the pitch and roll of the ship...go to your local doctor and get a prescription for xanax before leaving...that'll knock you out...takes 12 hours since you have to wait for the tides to change once you arrive off the coast of japan...shimonosekki is a small, unassuming little slice of japanica which will hold your interest for the short time you will be there...there's a neat department store near the docks where you can check out the latest high-tech toys and the latest and tiniest miniskirts...

best things about japan (vs. korea)...good beer (lots of selection...and cheap) and their porn actually shows what all porn was intended to show (wow!)...stock up at the local "7-11", which is also near the docks...don't worry about bringing it back into korea...i was drunk going through both japanese and korean customs and had a beer in each hand...the guards found me much more amusing than the 100 or so kids that piled through before and after me...

The ferry ride was fun. I speak a bit of Japanese as well as a bit of Korean.

And I was up all night drinking with a Japanese guy and a Korean guy who both knew VERY little English, so I was Mr. Translator between the two.

Quite interesting...
