I am in one of the higher pay scales. (9-10 I WISH)
Among other things I work as a freelance consultant (computers).
For many teachers working under an E2 well you are confined to your contract really (staying inside the legal aspect anyhow). So many pay scales stay in the 1.8 -2.1 range....no idea of the statistics though.
If you have an F2-1 then you can go for bigger fish. I was asked before what exactly I do, and I won't tell...its legal, approved and such. Its a niche market and I want to protect it...
What I do want to say though is that there are huge opportunities here for F2-1 English speakers. Think outside the box and build a substantial bank account.
Think about where you live, English is the dominant force in business. No matter what is said, English speak is everywhere...even if you are not teaching you can do a world of business just because you are English and in Korea.
Figure that out and I may have some competition here |
