The Filipino market in Hyehwa each Sunday usually also has A&W root beer.

She doesn't budge. She understand English very well, but won't speak. Dam her and her high prices. I can tell she doesn't like English nor foreigners, but does this business out of dumb luck of falling into a situation that gives her a trade advantage that makes her bookoo bucks. I wouldn't consider her a friendly nor fair business lady, but just a mover in a market lacking American products due to trade barriers. She's making a 100% profit margin if you don't consider the time she puts into her business as her stuff is 2X the going American price and then AAFES PX doesn't charge the tax. How does she do it?

She's the only one I know of doing the off base PX and even admits as well as uses AAFES bags!

Dang, she's got good stuff like Advil, cans of libby's pumpkin, and small turkey roasts though. How many other small adjumma stores have products like those? Goose Egg. 0 Is my best educated guess.

Never been there, but I'm guessing her daughter or granddaughter is married to a soldier (which she probably doesn't like but will still make money off of the situation).

I don't recommend the Red Door anymore. The shopowner's prices have always increased and never go down. Her prices have become absurdly high. I buy very little there: only the things that the other blackmarket stores don't have.

You're right- the prices have become too high. But as long as some people are willing to pay anything for one bite of something they miss, we'll never be able to convince her to lower her prices.
