Using profanity and also trying to dodge the swear filter by substituting other letters and characters for letters in swear words are violations of the TOS. When you joined Dave's, you agreed to follow the TOS. If you violate the TOS with either profanity or filter dodging, you may either receive a warning or, if you have been warned before or if the violation was egregious enough, you may receive a severe sanction, up to and including expulsion, even for a first offense.

Dave's is intended to be a place where English-language professionals can meet and discuss matters related to Korea and teaching English in Korea. As such, users should show professionalism in how they act here and follow the TOS that Dave has mandated. The Mods are not your mothers and fathers, and should not be expected to clean up things that you say; you should watch what you say here and just let your yes's be yes and your no's be no--don't add colorful adjectives to your answers!

If you want to have a free-for-all in what you say or do, there are other discussion groups you can join. It will not be tolerated here.

There are some users whose avatars are way too big (you know who you are). They are to be no more than 100 pixels on a side. If it is larger than that, you need to resize it. Users who continue to have avatars in excess of the size limit will be in violation of TOS and subject to possible further action.

You have been warned.

Those who quote profanity from other users' posts are equally at fault for having used profanity. To avoid this, please edit out profanity from quoted material before posting.

This is another warning for those using filter dodges. Substituting characters in place of letters in profanity does not make the word "safe". You just think you have bypassed the system, but you really have not. You will probably notice [Mod Edit] in posts where profanity and filter dodging has been edited out; you should know that when we do that, your name goes on a list--if you are a habitual offender, sanctions, possibly even a permanent ban, may be applied.
