Does anyone know if the k-pop singer G-Dragon is gay? I'm just curious. He looks really effeminate especially in "Heartbreaker", and also I heard he like women's clothing, so it got me thinking. I did a google search but couldn't find a definitive answer, so I thought I'd ask all of you.

For whatever reason, there's a subculture of girls who think that that sort of style is sexy. They usually tend to be the ones who also like pairing up guys and reading things about them getting it on.

I think it's more just to appease that crowd (it's gotten quite big). Maybe he is a bit on the bisexual side though. I have no idea. I wouldn't be shocked, seeing as there are a lot of guys back home who are liking this style as well.

I personally think he looks like a creepy, teenage porcelin doll. I do find that Heartbreaker song catchy however, so I have it. I do find him a bit creepy. Like he just popped out of the Grudge or something. I wouldn't want him staring at me from my closet, that's for certain.

HA!!
hahahahahahahahaha

that's too effing funny.

Laughing

now, getting back to the OP, can you please point out which male Korean pop singers are not effeminate... and while you're at it, please point out any member of any K-girl pop group which doesn't move and act like she's 12 (or younger)

(though I heard the Brown Eyed Girls Abracadabra vid is supposed to be somewhat steamy)

I don't know much about the guy groups, but I can think of some girl group examples:

Kara singing "Mister"... I don't know any 12 year olds that do that "butt dance" or whatever you want to call it.

Brown Eyed Girls singing "Abracadabra"... yeah it's pretty steamy, check it out on youtube.

2NE1 singing "Fire"... they definitely don't look like 12 year olds.

Should I go on? haha

Haha growing up I always told my sister Backstreet Boys way gay (just as teasing). When I found out Lance was REALLY gay, she never heard the end of it. Laughing

Super Junior doesn't really look girly in "Sorry Sorry". They have some pretty sweet dance moves I think.

Good ol' Backstreet Boys and N'sync... Laughing

Actually, those new Jonas Brothers kids are kinda feminine. And a lot of those emo rock bands coming out too.

Maybe non-tough is the new tough?

If G-Dragon ain't gay, he's sure doing his best glam rock rendition. That's what it's all about.

that is NOT a bad analogy.

but even the big haired, uber skinny somewhat effeminate rock glammers in very very tight pants, didn't cross the lines of sexual ambiguity or gayness (at least in Western cultural terms) like these guys do.

could you imagine a Korean Spinal Tap for e.g.??
(by "nature" rockers have to be a little more masculine than pop types anyways)

Non-threatening, feminine guys appeal to pre-teens and teens: the largest market for this kind of music.

indeed but by teens I think you're talking about the 14 and under crowd.

by the time you get to highschool, stateside, you'd get your ass kicked in the schoolyard for listening to such things Smile

in Korea of course, it's a bit "different" Wink
