Webster's Long Haired Dictionary, 3rd Edition 2007 Harper-Collins.
Afro-(defn.) Long hair cultivated by people of African descent that can be soft, sometimes coarse, forming tight coils and growing outwardly creating a fulffy, uniform, hair helmet. -(slang)- Fro.
Braids-(defn.) A way of wearing hair that weaves long hair into twisting bunches or braids, banded or tied at the bottom (see- ponytail, french, pigtail)
Hair Farmer-(defn.) A person with long hair that has been cultivated, or farmed over extended periods of time with minimal care and needs a trim badly. (see- hippie, lions mane)
Horse Whip (or) Repunzel-(defn.) Hair that falls past the waist and appears to either wipe one's own arse or sweep the floor, sometimes folded over and banded together to keep it from getting stepped on.

My parents, who are around retirement age, always grew up hearing "Long-haired" in a sentence with "Long-haired music."
It's not what you think, in their case.... "Long-hair" music means classical music to them! It's because classical music directors often had long hair. That's 50's/60's slang. |

Normally, we are on the same page. But not this time. Look at the context in which "long-haired" is used. Further, the guy isn't even near the age bracket you are giving. |
