Braids-(defn.) A way of wearing hair that weaves long hair into twisting bunches or braids, banded or tied at the bottom (see- ponytail, french, pigtail)

Hair Farmer-(defn.) A person with long hair that has been cultivated, or farmed over extended periods of time with minimal care and needs a trim badly. (see- hippie, lions mane)

My parents, who are around retirement age, always grew up hearing "Long-haired" in a sentence with "Long-haired music."

It's not what you think, in their case.... "Long-hair" music means classical music to them! It's because classical music directors often had long hair. That's 50's/60's slang.

Bass,

Normally, we are on the same page. But not this time. Look at the context in which "long-haired" is used. Further, the guy isn't even near the age bracket you are giving.
