I live in Southern Seoul and want to donate a couple of warm coats that I have.

Do any organizations exist in the city, i.e. Salvation Army, that take donated items.

I'm not for certain whether Korean churches accept donations.

There are yellow bins everywhere for recycling clothes, every other block in residential areas or indoors near every entrance into larger apartment buildings.

My question: does anyone know how or to whom the clothes are distributed?

the clothes generally go to church op-shops.
Im sure many are given to the needy, but a lot of the nice ones go to these wonderful shops! Im an op-shop adict here in Korea!!!

You could always donate your jackets to a local church or temple. If not, the clothing bins are the way to go. There are yellow ones, green ones and blue ones.
