I got a check from a U.S. bank that I need to cash in. I know I can go to the KEB but that will take at least a month for the money to be cleared. Does anybody know a better way?

Personal check = no hope.

Bank draft = deposit and wait for clearance.

The fastest way? Fly to America, cash it, fly back.

The 2nd fastest way? Endorse it, send it to someone you trust, have it deposited, have said person send cash back (or paypal or whatever).

3rd fastest? Go to KEB or some other bank and hope to God it doesn't take a couple of months.

Your bank in the US will have a PO Box that takes mail deposits.

If you have a US account, you can write "for deposit only" and find out the address to mail the check to your bank. If not, I have to go with Tom's answer, not much of a chance.

After my last trip home, I ended up getting rebate checks from things I bought and mailed them to my bank and they were credited to my account just fine.
