I've raed where the real life guy for that Pesci character was crazier than the Pesci character. Complete nut case.
The Luchesse family of which they were part of has taken a few hits from the federal government RICO statutes. |

Yeah I heard that too.
Here's a little Pesci trivia for you. Frank Vincent, the actor who played Billy Batts, the made guy Pesci's character killed in Goodfellas, was in two other Scorsese/Pesci movies.
In Raging Bull, Pesci's character beat the crap out of Vincent's in a bar.
In Casino, Vincent's character finally returns the favor, whacking Pesci's character in the Nevada desert.
Vincent was also in season 5 and 6 of The Sopranos |
