Kansas State Officials Suggest That President Obamas Name is Not Certain to be on Ballot

September 14th, 2012

On September 13, the Kansas State Objections Board, consisting of the Lieutenant Governor, the Attorney General, and the Secretary of State, heard a challenge to President Obamas name being listed on the November ballot.

The Board postponed making any decision about the matter until next week. See this news story, which suggests that Kansas officials will be seeking information about President Obamas birth certificate from Hawaii officials.

Hearing scheduled for today, Monday Sept 17. Obama may still be removed from Kansas ballot in November. The Board of Objections that will decide is composed of three members, all Republican state officials.

The original complaint was filed by a Manhattan, Kans. communications coordinator for the Kansas University School of Veterinary Medicine, Joe Montgomery, who questioned Obamas birthplace and the citizenship of his father.

Quote:
Less than two months before Election Day, a group of Kansas Republicans, led by a voter ID law advocate, is moving on a withdrawn challenge which may result in President Obama being removed from the ballot.

Secretary of State Kris Kobach, who has embraced forcing voters to produce ID at the polls, said Sept. 13 that he will preside over a Kansas Board of Objections Sept. 17 meeting ...

Kobach said that the board is obligated to do a thorough review of the questions ... and not make a snap decision."

However, Montgomery on Sept 14 withdrew his objections, in spite of stating that in his opinion, Obama does not satisfy the U.S. Constitutions natural-born citizen requirement for the presidency because of the foreign citizenship of his father.

In spite of the withdrawal, Kobach said he nevertheless doesnt believe the matter is dead. "I don't think it's a frivolous objection ...

The objections board includes Attorney General Derek Schmidt and Lt. Gov. Jeff Colyer, both Republicans.

This Kansas thing won't amount to much. Ho hum.

The more interesting thing is that Goode dude in Virgina. I say, "Run Mr. Goode, run!"

Obama will be on the ballot. Especially after a federal judge orders them to put him on. So much for states rights.

I would imagine a tactic like that would only turn more people away from the Republicans
