|
|
First off, I've searched and found very vague results -- both on google and Dave's.
I'm planning to unlock my verizon iphone 4s and bring it to Korea, but apparently I need a sim card. Does this mean the phone will not operate in CDMA mode, only in GSM mode? Frankly, I don't care... just want the phone to work without too much trouble trying to activate it. So I was wondering if someone can provide me specific steps to activate the phone.
Also is there difference between the american spec Iphone 4s when activating in Korea?
Cheers,
J |

With the 4S just take it to a KT global shop and have them register the phone and sell you a sim card and plan. Yes, this means the phone will only work in GSM mode and not CDMA mode.
If it was the Verizon iPhone4 it wouldn't work, because the regular 4 doesn't have a sim slot where the 4S does. |

I was wondering about this too. I am not currently in Korea but have a job starting in December. What are the minimum monthly payments to have an unlocked 4S on any network?
Thanks! |

Bump. Does anyone who has an Iphone 4 or 4s know how much the monthly payments are? (Not including phone subsidy since I will be bringing one.)
Thanks! |

It will be around 60 bucks a month for unlimited data 3G or can be as cheap as 40 a month if you choose a lower plan and use WiFi a lot. Including tax |
