I'm in anseong and its been getting rather cold at night. I can't figure out my thermostat... its all in korean. the id number seems to be dsr-371 and it looks like there's a phone number 1588-8577. there are two dials in the lower left corner. the higher one ranges from 40 to 80. the bottom one ranges from 0 to 12. there are 4 buttons from top to bottom in the upper right. my limited knowledge leads me to believe the following: the top button turns the whole thing on and the bottom button seems to send hot water to the sink and shower. however, if you don't use it fairly quickly, you lose that hot water. there is a pattern of red indicator lights in the lower right. they range from 40 to 80. it seems the more they're lit up, the more hot water I get. I've omitted 2 buttons in the middle. I can't find out what either does. you can compress them or leave them extended. plz help. id post a pic but I don't know how to from this phone

If it is then you want to make sure that the bottom knob on the left is turned all the way to the left.

4 button on the right from top to bottom:

button 1: Power button
button 2: Controls your floor heating (Green light means floor heating/other light means hotwater only)
button3: Controls your hot water (Green light means high temp water/other light means lower temp water) (you would need to use this button only when you need hot water, but not your floor heating)
button4: Use this button when you require hot water quickly.

Two dials on the left:
Big dial: Controls your room temperature
Reservation Dial: Reserve the system to be turn on in increment of hours.

To turn on your floor heater:

1. Power on
2. Turn your Reservation dial (small) to 0.
3. Turn you temperature control dial (big) to temperature you desire.
4. Press the button 2 (Green light should be lit).
5. 가동 (green light) should be also lit.

Then you're in business.

I can turn the hot water for showers on no problem but haven't managed to figure out the ondol yet.

Does anyone know what the "away" setting would be in Korean? I will be leaving for a few weeks during winter vacation and don't want to come home to frozen pipes (which is what I've been reading will happen), but I also don't want to leave the heating on the whole time that I'm gone and be billed heavily for it. I would really love to just leave it off and not be billed whatsoever. What do you think? Thanks!
