Hi- What happens to your national health insurance coverage after you finish your job, if you're traveling in Korea for a few weeks afterward before leaving?

If it is through your employer, you are disqualified on the date of your job ending.

If you are self-registered as an independent contractor, then it ends when either you cancel your status of sojourn (when you hand in your ARC after leaving Korea) or when you stop paying contributions.

I think you could take over the responsibility of the the National Insurance payments yourself during the gap time. I think you do have to be on a valid residence visa.

Sorry the HNIC site is slow for at the minute. But I am certain their is a self pay option.

There it is. I think it is as wildbore said.
