Location: Haebangchon - Three minute walk up the hill from Paris Baguette (the one next to Uri Mart).

Price: 5 million won deposit/700,000 won monthly rent

Size: Roughly 500 sq ft (15 pyong), on the second floor. It's a nice place for one person or a couple. Technically it's 2 bedrooms but there's not much of a separate living space, so we use the smaller room as a bedroom and the larger one as a living room.

Features: Lots of natural light. Pretty well furnished (bed, wardrobe, fridge, a/c in bedroom, laundry machine, stove and proper sized gas oven, desk, sofa, coffee table, TV stand, some chairs and shelves, etc). Has a balcony that we used a lot in the summer for bbqs (you share it with the person in the unit next door; there's a makeshift fence that splits the space). Landlord's family lives on the floor below. Pets are allowed. There is no parking space but if you have a scooter or a motorbike the landlord lets you keep it inside the gate.

Transportation: 10 minute walk from buses that connect you to Itaewon, Express Bus Terminal station (lines 3/7), Apgujeong, Cheongdam, Gwanghwamun, City Hall, Jongro. 15 minute walk from Noksapyeong station (line 6). There is also a local bus that you can take to Noksapyeong (or, if you take it in the other direction, takes you to Sookmyeong Women's University station (line 4)).

If you aren't familiar with the area: Haebangchon is a nice place to live. There are plenty of good places to eat and drink within walking distance, and since you're in the middle of Seoul most places aren't too difficult to get to by bus or subway. Because of the high number of foreigners in the area, the shops tend to sell things that might be difficult to get elsewhere (there's a small foreign food mart on the main road as well).

We are the current tenants and are looking to move out December 22. If you contact us directly we'll hook you up with the landlord and you don't have to bother with realtor fees. Call/text me if you want to take a look at the place - Hazel: 010 2740 6721 (or you can email me faeriehazel at gmail dot com - I can send you photos of the apartment if you're interested).
