Do you see KT bringing in Windows Phone 8 devices in the near future?

I've had the 3GS for 26 months. I'd like to upgrade and I feel it's a pretty significant upgrade from the 3GS to the 5.

Got mine on pre-order. I'm in the 17th group though, so not really sure how supply is going to go and when I'll get it.

I'm a little mystified by the lack of coverage in the English press about this release.

I'm in a similar boat, had my 3Gs for almost 3 years, and it's served me well but is on the way out.
I've got a 64gig ordered via my bro-in-law, so should be able to pick it up on Friday. If not blood may spill Twisted Evil

I'm a little mystified by the lack of coverage in the English press about this release.

The English press in Korea the KT in particular are too busy Slamming apple almost every day in the lead up to a hearing on the 6th on the ruling between Sammy and Apple.

The Korean English press I understood. It was specifically the Western press I was refering to. I should have been more specific.

The Western press has picked up on it since Apple's press release on Monday. The Korean release is still being overshadowed by the impending release in China.

One more day to go!

You're right, I never saw it pop up on any Western Tech websites till Apple announced where they were releasing it next. It was just a blip, as you mentioned it being released officially in China is generating more of a news cycle.

Apologies, I haven't really kept up on the iPhone 5 launch in Korea, but would one be able to purchase an unlocked (no contract) iPhone 5 here, sort of like how it's being sold at Apple stores in the U.S. now?

At least for KT, all iPhones are sold unlocked.

Not particularly on topic I realize but possibly someone here could help. I purchased an iphone 4S from the states locked on Sprint. I'd LOVE to factory/software unlock it if at all possible. Sorry I can't get Sprint to do it as I purchased it secondhand DEFINITELY not stolen. Ideas anyone? I'm still using my 3GS with a completed two year contract through KT in the meantime.
