Did anyone get anything surprising? I got the usual cookies, chocolates and knick-knacks from students. The school gave us a coffee mug and the day off tomorrow. I was fine with all of that; it is thoughtful. Then I saw my monthly pay slip (today happened to be pay day as well), and there it was....cha-ching. |

My Christmas gift comes tomorrow. It's the expression on my son's face on Christmas morning. Nothing better.

A notification from the school that my schedule has been moved around/reduced and my winter vacation now starts 10 days earlier. Far surpasses any greasy-fingerprint covered chocolate or coughed-on Ginseng and Nengmyun flavored rice-tard cake I've generally come to expect. |

A rather generous end of year bonus that had been deposited into the bank account along with the normal salary. |

Why aren't FT's working in Korea offered bonuses like other KT's?
I let out a big brownish fart in the office.
Merry Christmas to all! |

That's a good question. I worked in the ps system for years there and never saw such a bonus. It took me coming here working in a Korean school to get the same as the Ks. |
