Anyone have any experience at this school? Experiences living in this city? Would be my first time to South Korea. Thank you so much!

I've vacationed there two times and thought it was a great place. Maybe my favorite place outside of Seoul. It's got sea, mountains, nice people, not too far from Seoul. It was quite a bit "country" though. I saw a few hotels / condos and none of them had any sheets on the beds, in fact they were perplexed by the concept of "sheets". They had a new, big mega-store (homeplus?, lottemart?) so you should be able to find most things you need.
Beautiful location though. Best mountains, great sea.

Sokcho was my first location in Korea. I chose it deliberately for its setting & its size. Loved it right off & still do, still here 13 years later.

It likely wouldnt suit someone accustomed to big city living but it has its own small-scale urban charm. Theres enough western stuff locally available (& an Emart) to sustain a comfort zone. Theres a few dozen resident expats who are friendly & welcoming. Locals tend to be friendly too. Theres a fresh foot of snow this morning!

I dont know much about AP School but I havent heard anything terrible. If I get the chance I'll ask around & post back.
