| I have an unlocked iphone 3GS from America. This was bought under AT&T and then had a friend unlock it for me. The current IOS version on this fone is 4.2.1 and I want to update it to the latest IOS version through Itunes. I know if I was still in the US and tried updating through Itunes it would lock my phone again...is this correct? Will it do the same if I unlock it through Itunes in Korea? I know the phone carrier system here is a bit different, I've gotten mixed answers from my friends, please help! |

Yes. The update process doesn't depend on where you are, it depends on where your phone is from. |
