I am putting in a lot of hours studying English. I think I'd fit in quickly. I mean, my vision of the U.S. is limited because I can only see or learn things from here, but I want to go experience it all," she said.
Hyuna acknowledged that because of "Gangnam Style," she became more popular.
"First and foremost, I just want to thank PSY. I received more than I can ever ask from him that it actually worries me. I am worried that I might inconvenience or have inconvenienced him because I received so much love and attention because of him," she said.
She said Psy helped popularize K-pop.
"I think PSY opened a lot of doors for K-pop artists. During our performances, I can tell that our audiences have tripled lately. I think theres going to be a lot of artists that are going to start breaking down barriers and paving ways for K-pop artists to crossover," she said.

I think it's fairly safe to say that, even with an appearance of Psy in the beginning of the video, 'ice cream' will not be an international hit. On account of it lacking any musical merit whatsoever. But having said that, nowadays you never really know. |

Why do they even try... such a waste of money. Better spent on the Asian market. |

I don't know. I think it was an amusing parody of American pop music. It's kind of like Gwen Stefani's Hollaback Girl. Unfortunately I don't think most consumers will see it that way. |

True Gangnam style had much more merit.
Beethoven or Mozart would have been proud of that. |

She's borderline nasty looking. Hate the nose surgery. She was probably far prettier without it. |

This is the sort of 'music' you get when rooms full of executives try to come up with something to 'break America'. I struggle to see how anybody could possible like that song enough to download it, it's unbelievably crap |

Exactly right. And they've been trying that method, and failing, for years.
Psy did it by having a sense of humor (the international language), a fun carefree attitude and a whole lot of luck. These knuckleheads sure aren't going to reproduce it.
If they were smart they would goto Hongdae, find a cool indie rock band in the Club FF basement, and pile their money into that. The West likes a little thing called ROCK MUSIC. |
