Curious if anyone has had any experience going on a visa run to Vietnam? Can it be done? I have only been to Osaka for this, went without a snag, next day service IIRC.

Can I go to either Ha noi or Ho Chi Minh? Is either preferred as far as turnaround times?

Thank you in advance for all the help.

Cheers.

Why not just do Japan again? It's easier...

I did mine last month in Ho Chi Minh, turned in my passport on a Friday and got it back the following Friday.

You need a visa to enter Vietnam and it takes 4-7 days for the turnaround.

You need the usual stuff - VCN / NOA, photo, fee, application, passport (make copies of your passport since you won't have it for a week).

But they're now allowing visa on arrival if you go here http://www.myvietnamvisa.com and fill out the form. I did this in December and had it rushed and was good to go in a day. The only problem I would say that I had with it was that I had to wait in the airport for 30 or 40 minutes while they put the visa sticker in my passport.

I meant the turnaround at the Korean consular office after you apply for your E2 and not the time to get a visa to enter Vietnam.

It is overnight in Osaka and Fukoka.
4 working days in Manila. Not possible at the consulate in Cebu.
Overnight in BKK.
2 working days in HK. It was 2 days in Taiwan the last I heard.
4-5 working days in Vietnam.
Don't know about Malaysia, Indonesia or Cambodia.

Ah, I thought you were talking about getting in to Vietnam and then all the normal paperwork you'd need for the Korean visa. And to add to your list there, from my experience, it took 4 days in Shanghai when I did it there years ago.
