Interesting stuff, thanks for posting.
Those British kids need a good kicking.
Warm regards,

I really try to resist watching TV, particularly reality TV.
But that's a really good show... Need one about teachers. |

i disagree...most of them turn staged once they get popular but shows like shipping wars, Pawn Stars, those logging shows are actual people and fairly entertaining
i heard Storage Wars is staged now which takes the reality and enjoyment out of it |

That was entertaining enough. Two troubled (normal?) British teens with decent enough parents of their own go spend a week or whatever it is in India with a nice family. The father isn't really that strict and seems like a decent guy. After the week or so, both kids see the error of their ways and are transformed into happier people with fewer troubles, more motivated to do well in school and life, or so it seems. So it was a nice feel good story. |

Absolutely. As if their "friends" drop by on a moment's notice to check an item. It's clear they've researched the items in question before shooting each episode (as if the museum curator knows so much about anything they throw at it), a process which could take days given their own busy schedules. There are also some scenes which are clearly scripted. Heck, some of them were clearly written for the specific purpose of making product placements.
But, it's still one of the better shows of its kind. Cajun Pawn Stars, for example, is simply ludicrous (they even have a cast of regulars who bring in the silliest items in order create some comedy). |
