Rising from the bottom of the squat, I favour my right leg for about 6 inches, then it equalizes. What should I do to correct this?

Saw IFBB Pro, Won Jung Sup in the gym today. Massive guy. Really inspirational to have these guys in the gym though.

Jealous...my gym has no inspiration, just comedy. Confused

But I got a great pump this morning anyhow. Tried 2tbsp coconut oil before the workout (it's a fat obviously, but burns like a carb and of course doesn't spike insulin). Felt like I got a significant energy boost, going to try it again Monday.

Also, I've concluded Smith machine sucks.

Friday 12:37PM; Post Gym Pig-Out Log:

* Jammed down pork-chops and brocolli cooked in grass-fed buter,
* Snarfed down duck and leeks cooked in ghee,
* Broke into "backup-chow" stash of quails eggs,
* Still not satisfied, raided stash of anchovies in olive oil,
* Drank about 1/2 a swimming pool of water.

Estimate: 2000 calories in one chow fest?

I'm good now. Cool

Was wondering if anyone had advice/suggestion/criticism about doing slight incline bench presses/flat/ and slight decline bench presses.
I like all three, but am curious if there is a best way to incorporate them in a 3 way rotation. Is there a method to this madness?

And I suppose the same can be said for dumbbell pec flys as well.

When you say weak, what is it doing? Is one side/knee pitching in?

I like all three as well. If I'm doing chest once a week, I might do

-incline press X4
-Flat fly X4
-Decline press X4

If I do chest twice a week, I might do Presses on Chest1 and Fly movements for Chest2.

The left side is pitching in and trembling slightly, just as I rise from parallel. I automatically shift to the right to compensate, then it goes back to normal. I can't seem to control it. Should I back off the weight?

I'm having a similar problem, and yes, I've backed off the weight. I think stretching exercises might help too.

Could be a lot of reasons. Are you balancing the bar correctly? Is your form correct? Are you flexible enough? Try reducing weight and work on form. Stretch the appropriate muscles.

Personally, I'm taking a break from lifting for about a month and focus purely on cardiovascular conditioning.

You know not to be critical of DDP Yoga specifically, but I don't really understand the concept of "extreme yoga". The point is to focus ones being thru breathing and body movements; it is a meditative thing. It seems like Americans and Koreans turn it into this physical, frantic, hyper thing.

Koreans for example never stay put at the end and do a proper shavasana (lying on your back doing nothing), which is the most important and challenging part. They are unable to comprehend the point of doing nothing, I guess.

Anyhow just going off on a rant there, Im sure it is good exercise.

Reduce the weight and find out at what point does it start to happen. As well, you can consider doing some one-legged exercises... especially on the weak leg (providing pain is not an issue).

I'd suggest lunges or Romanian squats.

For anyone who wants the olympic bar micro-weights the store's number is 011-276-5181 (he's on Line 2 at Sports Complex Station). He's got 1kg and .5kg.

Man, I'm having a great time at my new gym. The weights are awesome, but so are the people! Massive guys - and fit girls... and all friendly. At my old gym, I'd get a fair amount of stares from the trainers and such (took them a long time to warm up to me), but this new place, I walk in and everyone is patting me on the back.

It's not a necessity, but it sure is a good feeling.
