Is it true? Is Ikea really coming? I hope it opens up the interior decorating & DIY market. That's been tightly controlled by those over-priced mom & pop outfits.

But IKEA will have DIY. I've been bringing in unassembled Ikea furniture for years from overseas in my checked baggage into Korea.
Now I can buy the stuff in Korea. No more dealing with those overpriced mom & pop "interior" shops.

Will IKEA be here or not? You seem incredibly confused about it. Just pop over to China if you're so desperate for luminous yellow plastic forks; IKEA is in all the big cities in China. |

Hi,
The IKEA is supposed to be right across the street from the Gwangmyeong Costco. It is coming, but is experiencing delays.. |

They should close it on Wednesdays and Sundays. I wouldn't want those mom 'n pop stores with the ever-smiling gramps behind the counter to lose sales on plastic purple coat hangers or anything. |

Probably one of my most hated chains after Coldstone. May they suffer a swift demise. Sadly, it will probably catch on and I'll be subjected to apartment after apartment filled with their home stuffs.. |

I can't stand the overpriced mom & pop furniture sellers in Seoul (but still with average quality). They prevent DIY by limiting what you can do. If their shops close, they deserve it.
I will be the first in line to get Ikea stuff.

i loathed ikea until i came here. but the monotony of korean furniture (dark brown, creamy brown, rustic brown...) has made me long for shiny plastic and synthetic colours of the west. I welcome ikea to korea! |

Cat burglar/Stalker. Their open designs make my escapades more difficult.
And yes, they don't deserve the term "decor" or "furniture". Stuffs will suffice. Just like like Coldstone deserves the term "crap in a cup". |

You're a little slow on the uptake. Stuffs is a verb. |

Stuffs is slang for a noun. Lighten up Francis. |
