I'm going to be in Seoul on the weekend and I'd like to hit a big dollar store to pick up a few things for my classroom.
I've seen a few small Daiso stores around, but I've never come across a big one. Does anyone know where there's a big Daiso (or something comparable) in Seoul?

Thanks

Yes. There is a FANTASTIC one right in the middle of Myeong-dong. It's in the Zara / Forever 21 Building on the 4th floor.

It's the biggest one I've seen with lots and lots of things in it.

ETA.. in the same building, in the basement, is Kosney, also fan-ta-bu-lous. I love Kosney. In fact, I spend a lot of time and $$ in that building from Zara to Forever 21, to Starbucks, to Daiso, to Kosney and the manicure place. Laughing Embarassed

There's also one in Sadang station, it's in the middle of the station between the two main entrances.

there's a moderately sized store (2 floors) near Nonhyeon station....about 10 mins walk from Kyobo bookstore in Gangnam.

Haven't been to the other Daiso's (other than Sinchon) so not sure about the size in comparison.

There's one on Ewha Women's University Station (Line 2), and also a tiny one in Sinmokdong Station (Line 9). There's a 2-story one right out of one of the exits of Mok-dong Station (Line 5).

Daiso is probably my favorite store ever. I could spend hours in there, never buy anything, and still be totally happy.

I noticed that the Myeong-dong Daiso store has closed down. Does anyone know of another store in the Hyewha/Dongdaemun/Myeong-dong area?

There's a 5 floor Daiso by Jonggak Stn. (Line 1 between City Hall and Jongno3ga,) about 15 mins walk from Myeong Dong. Biggest I have seen.

There's one in Hyehwa at the corner of the street that leads to Sungkyunkwan Uni. A little bit away from the subway station, west from exit 4.

Synchronicity. Tzechuk came to my mind today quite out of the blue & then this old thread popped up. A lovely person & I hope she's doing well.

Off-topic. Carry on.

Better than Daiso is the stationary street/area in Namdaemun, I mean it has dozens if not more stores with more than Daiso and better prices...
