I think there would be constitutional issues with discriminatory immigration policies based say just on religion. Probably more careful screening, more monitoring of websites frequented by terrorist types, and more cameras wherever crowds gather, etc.

That was just funny.
No background checks on nut-jobs, felons and junkies buying handguns and assault weapons at gun shows or private sales but we will monitor and arrest people for surfing the web.

Well, the background checks at gun shows, etc. would mostly target right-wing domestic vigilante/revolutionary types carefully protected by the NRA and politicians controlled/intimidated by them.
If at least the "how to build a bomb" sites were monitored, the FBI might have prevented these guys from doing mayhem with pressure cookers. |

Actually, not only are those websites known, they are closely monitored. |

Could/should they have been more effectively monitored? I suspect that many more intelligence agents might be needed to really check out everyone who frequents bomb-making sites. |

Considering the simple fact that only 3.08 million people are "native" Americans that would mean that the other 320 odd million are all imports. |
Who said anything about 'native Americans'? This is about current immigration policy, and the folly of thinking that the average Chechen, Saudi, or Somalian will integrate just as seamlessly as the average German, Briton, or Korean, because people are all basically the same right? |

That's the spirit, paint everyone of a certain ethnicity or nationality in one quick stroke because of a few extremists or criminals.
Remember your comment next time you want to complain about the Korean media doing the same thing. |

Not a few, thousands. And I'm not saying everyone in those groups is a likely terrorist or extremist, but that they are simply far worse candidates for potential citizens than people from more civilized nations.
As for Korea, if Westerners here were often engaged in violent extremism and/or serious criminality, then the Korean media would indeed be justified in shining a light on that. Of course, Korea actually has a sensible immigration policy, and thus avoids most of the worst aspects of diversity. |

Of course it comes as no surprise that there are conspiracy theorists out there who think the Boston bombings were staged.
They even go so far as to claim there were no victims. The man with his legs blown is a CIA shill!

2/200 Chechans in the USA have been big-time terrorists. They have a reputation and it is earned. There is no reason to let them freely roam peaceful, safe, stable nations that OTHER groups have built. They can go drive a Lada around the mountains killing goats. There is no benefit to their presence.

Antiwar.com editorial director Justin Raimondo discusses why he thinks the (dont say alleged) Boston Marathon bombers had foreign help; the neoconservative link to Chechen jihadists; the bogus safe haven rationale for fighting the war on terror; the bipartisan coalition of political heavyweights that lobbied for Chechen Ilyas Akmadovs asylum over DHS security concerns; more information-sharing problems between government agencies despite post-9/11 fixes; ending all immigration to prevent terrorist blowback; and the return of Old Right antiwar conservatives in the US. |
The neo-con Jamestown Foundation, an organization that exists to push retaliation (via supporting and encouraging terrorism on the Russian periphery) against Putin for going after the oligarchs, played a role in radicalising the Chechen terrorists who hit Boston. |

The Atlantic says the bombers are "made in America". In fact, The Atlantic (who hates you) says:

The faith of the Tsarnaev brothers, in this sense, is more American than Islamic. |
Why? Because of abortion doctors who were killed a decade or so back.
Though, I wonder...
The three other people arrested were Kazakh and a muslim Ethiopian.
What do Chechens, Kazakhs and muslim Ethiopians have in common...

Making the point that the Tsarnaev brothers Muslim faith at the moment bears little relevance to the investigation into the brothers decision to attack the Boston Marathon last week, MSNBC host Melissa Harris-Perry observed that Tsarnaevs faith is about as relevant to the investigation right now as are Ben Affleck movies about violent events in Boston. Her panel guests agreed and added that Americans have to otherize violent actors in order to absolve themselves from responsibility for or connection to their violence. |
Otherize in the way Sirota and Wise and others immediately shouted TEA PARTY?
Also, nothing says Boston like Chechens, Kazakhs and Ethiopians. Amiright? What was the point in stealing the continent if we're just going to allow these cousin marrying hill people to screw it up.
Also, also, these Checenhs, the height of the American Dream, were on welfare. The Puritan state of Mass gave them more than 100k. The progs financed their own bombing.
Oh, lastly, the bombers, when they hijacked that car (with the COEXIST sticker on it) didn't kill the driver b/c he didn't "look American". The guy was Chinese or some kind of Asiatic. American = white, to them, apparently. That must be why they placed the bomb around only white people. I could spin this as racist-terrorism.
Rubio's immigration bill will dump 33 million more of these people in the country in 10 years. That's 52 Bostons full of American Dreamers.

One of the cousin marrying hill people terrorist accomplice was an illegal. |
