My SK pings to the states, or heck, even Japan are horrific. I'm on 100 meg fibre.
Korea needs to stop boasting about it's internet prowess; the internet is the world wide web, not a nationwide intranet! Korean ISPs simply cannot access the world wide web effectively.
I'm pinging minimum 360 to the states (usually 400+ west coast us)
Am I going to get an improvement with KT? I've heard rumours but I'm not sure. I have one friend who is on KT and his pings seem to be half mine, but that could just be contention ratio or something like that. I'm assuming though that it's probably due to throttling international traffic by SK.
What do you KT people generally ping to the States? |

Bloody hell, amazing pings. If I went East coast I'd be in the six hundreds. Thanks for doing that for me mate. |

koreans use mostly korean websites
so what's the point in paying huge costs for decent international connections? (for the isps)
it frustrates me too, but it makes sense for the korean isps |
