| I have just read about this 6 months valiidity rule but I am trying to get to Boracay on the 27th January from Seoul. Any way round this guys? Thanks in advance! A worried teacher who has booked his flights! |

| A quick search shows PI requires a passport valid for 90 days after your departure date. |

ACtually, according to Timatic (the people that the airlines check with when there may be an issue with giving you a boarding pass at check-in time), you are required to have 6 months validity remaining on your passport as a UK national:

Sorry, seems I misspoke. I found that info here: http://philippines.visahq.com/ but its not an official site.
Lesson to others: Passport expiry has a way of sneaking up on you. Checked it lately? Mine almost lapsed this month, caught it just in time.

Maybe best call the PI embassy. |
That site (at the first link) refers SPECIFICALLY for holders of US passports.
The OP is holding a UK passport.
They say nothing about passport validity for UK passport holders other than a visa is not needed for stays of less than 30 days.

| T he 6 month thing is up to each country. I had a moment of terror last year when just before flying to UK noticed my passport had 5 months left. Airline said the UK don't care----as long as it's valid for what they stamp you in for (which I think is 90 days) HOPEFULLY PHI is the same. |
