Finally got my first smart phone. I went to xda forum but i'm confused where and what I should be looking for.

Can anybody point me towards the right direction where the root for Note 2 is?

Be careful because the international versions and korean versions will be a little different.

This guy always posts stock firmware that is rooted and you just have to flash it in odin.

KT http://bvlgarian.tistory.com/536

Another good site for roms, rooting, info, etc. It is in Korean though.

thanks for the info. I guess I should do some research before rooting it then. Been reading some people already rooted their phones in Korea and having major probs.

So has anyone actually rooted their Korean Note 2?

If so, what method did you use? And is it easily reversible? I want to be able to update the stock ROM when needs be (not so interested in custom ones).

There is a XDA thread for Korean Note 2 users, someone on there maybe can answer your question. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1936433

My wife got one a month ago but I haven't been able to pry it out of her hands long enough to play with it and root it, etc...

Wow that's a long thread, and still seems a little risky. Phatrick, are you going to try it sometime?

I was hoping someone may have an easy solution, but I guess most people are happy with their stock phones Confused

I don't know if I will. Honestly for what my wife does with it she wouldn't notice the difference. She would be annoyed if I could/did change the rom and she has to figure everything out again.

If it was my phone, I would have read the entire xda thread and done it the first day. But I am stuck in my s3 contract so...

Time to resurrect this thread.

Anyone have any rooting/custom ROM success with their Korean Note 2?
