Do you have to take a tour to the DMZ or can you drive up yourself? If so, is it worth the drive?

If you want to go to Im Jin Gak (by the bridge to the north) you can drive yourself.
If you want to go to Panmunjom (Joint Security Area (JSA)) then you need to take a tour.
