I have traveled in the Philippines several times before. I picked up a cheap online ticket to fly into Siargao Airport with Cebu Pacific Air. I will stay in Siargo for about 10 to 14 days before I travel overland to Camiguin Island.

I am looking for a beach, kick back holiday. No special plans just R&R. I have some budget but always happy to save money and keep expenses low. I would be happy to hear any experiences, tips, tricks, etc.

It's been a few years since we were there.
The airport is on the opposite side of the island from anything else and there is no public transportation to speak of. Jeeps and trikes are few and far between. make sure your "hotel" is pre-booked and ground transportation is arranged ahead of time.

We stayed at General Luna on the south east coast.
There is surfing on the east side of the island (cloud nine).
Beach walking on the south and east. Not much else for tourist attractions other than watch the coconuts grow and the surf roll in.

Siargao is an island located on the north east coast of Mindanao.
Surigao City is located in Surigao del norte province on Mindanao.

There is only 1 dive shop on Siargao island and the diving isn't that great.
It is great for surfing (google: cloud 9).

I can't tell you much about Surigao province or city.
