The timing of it is pretty eerie.

No, he just patched things up with the WWF/E after a 20-year-long feud, and got inducted into their Hall of Fame. Like just this weekend.

This was him last night:

His promos were always pretty mental, but it is kind of eerie, considering he would be dead less than 24 hours after that.

I can't keep track of the wrestlers anymore. If you'd asked me a couple of days ago, I would have told you The Ultimate Warrior was already dead, but I would probably be thinking of Macho Man Randy Savage or Jake the Snake Roberts: two greats long past.

Looks like heart failure. Seems to get a lot of wrestlers/body builders fairly young. Too much mass for their hearts I suppose.

Jake the Snake is still alive.
He was inducted into the Hall of Fame at the same time as the Ultimate Warrior last Saturday.

Proves my point I suppose...

Ahh, now I remember: it was his wife that died!

Time to restart the "Dead Wrestler" clock again. Opie and Anthony had one going for a while and they couldn't get past like 45 days or something for a good two year stretch. Who was last? Paul Bearer? Does he count?

King Mabel or whatever his most recent name was died about a month ago. Certainly less than 45 days.

He was my favorite wrestler as a child. This sucks but at least he didn't off himself.

I saw him live vs. Hogan at Wrestlemania 6. I remember the kid next to me actually bawling when Hogan lost.

Warrior was pretty awesome.

But man, seeing that clip of him speaking on Raw this week ... no surprise he died suddenly. He was in rough shape. Physically he still kinda looked like a best, but it looked like it was painful for him to talk, snarl, shake the ropes.
