Well.. I read in one of the posts gas was 1330/l. Now its 2000/l. It cost me 80,000 won to fill up the tank on my little 97 hyundai avante. But I live in Jeju.. Public transport isn't want it is in the major cities, and the roads in jeju are fun to drive on.. they are small and all seam to meet at the top of the mountain.

Yeah, I'd say 80,000 to fill the tank is about right. I drive a 97 Daewoo Prince. Old car but great body. Good engine. 140,000 Km so far. Think it was old man driven for most of it's life. Maybe 121,000 when I bought it a year and a half ago. Bought off another waegook for 1.3 million. Prob worth less than that. But buying off another foriegner seemed more reliable. Spent 500,000 over the past year getting some work done. Most of that expense changing the tires. Replaced break lines, a fuel hose, oil change, and a few other minor things. Some status Koreans prob mock it, but I love it. Drives great. Insurance first year 900,000 and dropped to 500,000 my second year. Depending on the month, I prob spend 150,000 to 200,000 . More than what I should. If you can try to drive less, you'll save more. Often it's driving around town, traffic, long waits at red lights, etc. Once or twice a month driving to Costco in another city.
