Mistaken for a robber, German national shot dead by guard

Hesse, 60, who owns a restaurant in Cebu City, died on the spot after he was shot in the forehead and chest by Niere.

Niere told police he mistook Hesse for a robber because the German national was wearing a dark jacket with a hood.

The incident occurred barely a month after a security guard shot dead a British national in Malapascua Island following a heated argument.

I heard about the Cebu case, happened while I was in the city. Didn't know about the other one. Maybe I should amend my article to include the threat posed by security guards:
