Where are you going to live?
I had my eye on a nice penthouse in London, might have to downgrade a little now with the increasing house prices down south. |

You forgot to add to another part of your country, to another country period, to the moon, etc.
You know, you want to go home, but the economy sucks in your area. So, you move to another place where the economy is good. maybe, you'll decide to teach in another country to try something different. Maybe, you'll take up flying and go to the moon or do whatever.
For example, if I want to go to the maritimes, but the economy sucks @$$, I'll go to Calgary or something like that. The cost of living is higher, so you plan to save up 20 K to have as an emergency fund and to finance your move there.
You don't all have to live in your parents basement and then come limping back to Korea when the money you've saved has run out. If you know the economy is bad where you're from, there are other choices out there. |

We're thinking about going home in a year or so. We do have a good amount of money saved up and we probably could get our own place but I'm thinking we should live with my parents or my brothers family for awhile until I get squared away with a job.
Not looking forward to it but it's the safe way to play it. |

I might have a chance to stay in South Africa quasi-permanently if I have to. It's a 30% chance. I'm assisting South African workers (mostly colored or natives) working in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do as it's my main duty. If it happens, then I might just retire in Madagascar when I get old into my 50s. |

Like I said, move back to your home country and re locate to a part of the country where the jobs are. A google search will reveal which States or Provinces or Cities have low unemployment rates. (IE Calgary instead of Toronto. Saskatchewan instead of the Maritimes. Texas instead of California. The dakotas instead of West Virginia, etc)
I knew a couple of guys who came from high unemployment areas and ended up living in their parents basements having gone home and then came back to Korea. Chances are you left your local area for a reason. Why squander your savings living in the basement when you can use that to start a new life in other places. Maybe that way you won't have to come back here. |

You want to move to South Africa? Where are you from? I think all the whites are trying to get out (to Australia, US, Canada, UK). |

Seoul-born Korean-Canadian to be exact. But anyways. Whites, especially the ones with British heritage and the Jewish people, are moving out. White Afrikaaners are usually staying in South Africa albeit with a decreasing social influence. Afrikaaners consider Africa their home unlike the Brits.
But most people are forgetting that there are many Chinese and Indians moving to South Africa. It's getting very mixed. |
