|
|
You guys are well-travelled on this board so I thought I would ask here. Frankly I have been given outright wrong info from the likes of Flightcener in the past.
To explain. I am flying Calgary-Amsterdam-Berlin and returning from Madrid. Thing is I have been to Berlin and since this trip is to see new places I'd rather skip it. In fact I will be getting off the plane and turning around to go back to AMS to begin the holiday.
I know I could just NOT get on the plane but I am worried it might void the whole ticket. I know luggage is an issue so I would just take a carry on bag and buy a new bag there for souvenirs or whatever.
Thanks in advance and ps
If anyone wants to share info on "coffee shops"
in Amsterdam- feel free. Heh.
Is it safe to carry a sample in the Euro zone? |

It depends on the ticket class, ticket restrictions, and carrier but usually, if you miss a flight then you void the rest of the ticket.
Talk to the carrier directly (as in - go to their ticket office, in person).
It might waste an afternoon but you may be able to get an exemption, a change or an allowance for it.

Thanks ttom
I did a google and the consensus seems that you void the ticket (and perhaps be red-flagged over suspicious behavior) but thought there could be some fee or "angle" where one could do it.
I guess they discourage it for landing fee reasons... |
