Any holiday period in Korea is expensive travel, it doesn't matter if it's domestic or international.
What dates are you looking at? I found direct flights Sat to Wed (6th to 10th) for $560 direct on Cheapoair and flying Garuda Indonesia. |

Is there a reason you're going to Jakarta specifically? If you just want to visit Indonesia, it might be cheaper to fly to KL or Singapore, then take a budget airline to an Indonesian city (such as Medan or Bandung). Jakarta also kinda sucks IMO. Flights to Bali will be about the same price too probably.
I fly from North America to Surabaya (east java) about once a year, and I usually find it cheaper to do it that way.
Of course if time is an issue, then yeah, you'll probably have to suck it up. |
