I simply want no role in their behavior and I certainly don't want that conflict there to come over here, where we have more than enough to deal with on our own. They wanted a state there and they're going to have to learn how to get along with their neighbors. |
They seem to get along with neighbors such as Jordan and Egypt even to the point of signing long-lasting peace treaties. But then again neither of the aforementioned two countries are raining down rockets on them. Whoathunk it? |
I'll take why do Egypt and Israel get along for $1.5 billion, Alex. |
Doesn't Lebanon get around the same per capita? |

And how about the many, many Jews who lived in Palestine before the partition? Do they have a "right to return"?
How about the many Christian/ jewish holy sites in Palestine? Are they maintained and are devotees allowed to visit them, as the case with muslim sites in Israel? No. they've been dynamited or utterly destroyed. |

^ Immaterial to topic. Israel has a genetic-based immigration system. If we use the standards of racism imposed on the West it is clear and without any room for shucking and jiving that Israel is a "racist" country. Fin. |

It seems as if Titus is correct. There are avenues for non-Jews to immigrate to Israel, but the practical burdens are so great that it is a de facto exclusionary system as to non-Jews.
And even if Jews are granted recognition under the Right of Return, they may be discriminated against in civil society simply because their mother wasn't Jewish.

Interesting, in FY13, Lebanon received a bit more per capita in military aid from the USA than Egypt. It's nothing though compared to the $3 billion Saudi Arabia just decided to give Lebanon in military assistance.
White House fact sheet on military aid to Lebanon in FY13
Its non-military aid to Lebanon is much higher per capita as well.
Aid per capita to both those countries is nothing though compared to Jordan, which received over $3 billion between 2009 and 2013. |

Keeping the surrounding nations from attacking Israel, and keeping Israel able to defend herself, is a very expensive project for America. |

Interesting point.
"Race" is nothing but a social construct theory that has been debunked by both science and anthropology...though, the media will not acknowledge that....anyway...moving on.
Give 'em hell Israel. |

They spend triple the amount on Afghanistan. You're ok with that?
I have also seen figures showing greater spending on south korea than on Israel. No objections from you? And the ROK is not exactly a vital strategic ally. |

I believe the word you are looking for is, "ethnicity"...
But that is true...the Jewish faith extends beyond their ethnic history.
It be we comparable to saying, "Christians/Muslims//Buddhists/Hindus are racist"....
However, the Jewish faith is not known for its proselytizing campaigns... |
