I know that there's a lot of textbooks recommended out there, but does anyone have one specifically for students who have finished Let's Go? Heard something about a book called Pairwork. Good or bad? The students are not passing Let's Go 6 with flying colors, but they're passing. Thanks.

I really liked Winner 4, followed by Get together 3 and 4. It sure worked for my classes.

Laughing That's like something I was going to say when I saw the post title when you beat me to it, but I was just going to say Let's Come Back.

Is Amazing English good for after Let's Go?

Beeline Plus is the bomb. After Let's Go 6 you'd probably want Beeline Plus 2.

Did you do the workbook for Let's Go 6? If you don't use the workbooks then go back and do the workbooks for Let's Go 4, 5 and 6. The students probably need it because it's where the main book's lessons are practiced and best understood.

has anyone ever used the 'exploring english' series? it's hands down my favorite english books out there. i've never had the good fortune to teach it to any of my classes, but i use it for my private lessons.
i'm not all that familiar with the let's go series, but i'm sure that after level six of any series, your kids could handle some level of exploring english.

I really like using the Exploring English series as a companion to some other text. It has wonderful sketch cartoon graphics, developed characters with distinct personalities the class can get to know and talk about, lots of repetition and a good workbook to use alongside it. And it's well edited, basically error-free.

I once taught the entire Exploring English 2 book plus workbook to a class and found it too repetitious to use by itself (It's too much like Side by Side), but I have since used it for twenty minutes a class along with another book, and the students enjoy it.

Ideally you will use the entire series strategically, photocopying material when it complements whatever main book you choose.

Good luck whatever.

If htey are not ready to move on to something like HEADWAY or OpenHouse then consider doing a stint with English Time. If they are still young enough, theres no rush. It will give them the time they need to get even more comfortable.

Try the Let's Go grammar series, it will certainly help beacause personally I find the Let's Go series boring as hell. Smile
