David Kim, director of media for the South Korea-based beauty pageant, said: "She thinks as long as she keeps this crown she's the winner. "She's not." "We thought she should be more beautiful ... so we sent her to the hospital to operate on her breasts," Kim said.

It should be noted that she accepted the offer of enhancements.
And that she was stripped of the title for being rude and dishonest.
Seeing as she stole a $100,000 crown...(grand larceny) I'd say they made a good call regarding the second accusation. |

In her press conference, she said she refused the boobjob. I guess it's a case of he said/she said, but after seeing the video of her press conference, I believe the kid over the grown men this time. She still isn't filling out the dress. If they'll just wait three or four years, maybe she will. She's still just a girl, not a woman. They awarded her the crown, she went to the airport, and took it home. It doesn't seem like theft any more than the time I put the money paid for working at Wonderland into my pocket, went to the airport, and flew to the USA with the money.
Plus, there's a pattern of girls pulling midnight runners to get away from those pageant organizers. It's the Wonderland of beauty pageants. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-bristol-15369197 |

I suggest you read up on this story.
The organizer was hoisted by his own petard.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-BDf7Ru0Ai4
In that video he claims that "It's necessary to threaten people if they don't behave even after education, right?". That was in response to her asking for schedules in advance.....
Also the tiara is not worth anywhere near 100,000 USD, I doubt it is worth even 10 percent of that figure.
What makes this worse is the fact that we are talking about a 15 year old girl. He wanted to perform a whole range of surgeries on her and repeatedly fought against her desire to stay with her mother whilst in Korea.
We know why as in her statement she said that she was told that she needed to escort business tycoons. So basically child sex trafficking.
Here is another video when they tried this rubbish with a British woman.

Exactly. They took her title away for "being rude" and gave it to a...Korean.
Pressuring a mere child to have breast implants inserted into her body, and denying her access to her mother, goes way beyond "rude". As does pressuring contestants for sex. |

The government should just step in and ban the contest from running in Korea. 3 years, of 4, controversies should be enough proof for them to act.
However, even if they banned it, the organizers will jet off to another receptive country and run it from there. |

Seeing as how they are claiming she "absconded" with the crown I would say that seems to be rather stretching the allegory. Did you have people claiming that you "absconded" with the money from Wonderland? They claim that she left with the crown the day after she was disqualified. So if correct, then she had no right to keep the crown and take it with her.
But yes it does seem to be a case of he said/she said.

Again this is a case of she said/he said. The organizers deny that she was pressured either into accepting the surgeries or for that matter any sexual favors. And the thing with her mother was a visa matter.
in fact here are the claims they make
http://www.koreaobserver.com/organizers-denies-asking-myanmar-beauty-queen-to-perform-sexual-favors-23616/
Again I don't see any rational for taking her word over the committee's or for that matter the committee's over her. I rather expect it's six of one and half-a-dozen of the other.
And your video is from two years ago...I'm not sure what it has to do with this current case.
Although if the committee could produce the documents mentioned below I'm sure it would go some way to clearing up this matter.

What Miss Aung chose was breast enlargement operation.
It is said that, satisfied with the operation, she asked one of nurses “Will it be like the same for hip surgery?. However, prior to having the news conference, she had returned to her country with the crown from the hospital and had lied that she was forced to take that operation even though there are statement of out-patients treatment and consent letter of operation of her and her mother. |

Considering it's the same organization running the event, and 3 of 4 years of controversy. It's very relevant. |

The video is relevant because a) it is very recent and b) it backs up what the teenager from Burma has been saying.
We now have multiple accusations from multiple women on multiple occasions.
You say it is just her word against theirs, but with all these different accounts by people with no connection to one another saying the same thing, it lends massive credence to their accusations.
Then let us look at the character of the organizers.
We know they bribe police, we now they lied about the cost of the tiara, we know they let an underage girl compete whilst being underage and cajoled her into having surgery and wanted more surgery on a girl still developing. We also know that they suddenly moved offices from Seoul to Busan a day after reporters came asking questions.
Throw in the context of the long and dark history of actors, singers and models being abused by entertainment companies and you have no real reason to give these guys the benefit of the doubt.
Who has more power in this scenario?
Wealthy and well-connected Korean business men in Korea vs. A 15 year old Burmese teenager in a foreign country? |

It actually sounds quite similar to the BS I have to deal with each time I travel through Incheon International Airport because of Wonderland's trumped up accusations. Employers here seem to go mental when they're jilted:

I'm a grown man and when I have a bit of psoriasis on my leg, I get turned away by dermatology doctors for not being Korean. Taking that into consideration, I find it surprising that the hospitals will admit foreign children for boobjobs. |

Boob jobs and the like are part of the "medical tourism" (read: plastic surgery) craze for foreigners with money and the outfits catering to said foreigners are more concerned about the color of their money than the color of their patients. Apparently, sometimes those foreigners seeking something other than that are either not affluent enough to contribute that or not "Korean-looking" enough to be treated as a real, live human being. Luckily, there are places that aren't jackasses to the run-of-the-mill foreigner. But, sadly, there are too many horror stories to discount the prevalence of the jackasses. |

The fact that it's a child getting a boobjob is what makes it so weird.
It's amazing those pedos running the pageant can get away with doing such abominable things to kids from the third world while discussing it so openly in the news media. |
