Recruiter wants the full passport information page (picture, etc.). I'm afraid the information may be too sensitive to give out.
What should I do? |

This is normal. Really this has been standard practice for years.
Through do know that the info page will be used to judge you. From age to race.
Give him a scan of the page. If really worried blur out passport number.

Thank you Skippy. I blocked out the codes and the barcode on the back. This practice is kind of lame. |

To looks. They want to see another picture of you to assess how physically attractive you are. |

No, for work abroad it is not.
It clearly identifies you, your age, nationality and validity of your passport.
It is required by immigration for validation and issuance of your visa confirmation number.
The same requirement is pretty universal in all countries for foreign employee applicants.
If that bothers you, then your only other option is to stay home.
If you think it is lame... take a look at the requirements YOUR country has for a foreign national trying to apply for a work visa. Korea is a cakewalk by comparison.

Either the recruiter is going to tell you to send the correct documentation or they're just going to write you off. ttompatz is correct about the visa issuance requirement. |

What can you actually do with a passport number anyway? Apply for a visa that you can't actually receive? |

Probably all they want is to make sure that you're a citizen of the countries that you have to belong to in order to teach. A bad passport photo may not be helpful however. |
