I'd guess any allure Salman Rushdie had due to his fame would be seriously offset by the fact that there's still a fatwa on him. |

Fame / badboyness is better than being a nobody in some cases (in terms of getting female attention I mean).

You think Rushdie is a bad boy? Sounds like you're on the fundamentalists' side. If I was a woman I'd be worried about getting caught in the crossfire and I'd probably end up complaining 'you never take me anywhere.' Women like to be seen in public with their 'catch', which would present problems in Rushdie's case.
There's a type of woman who'll be attracted to the guy with the problem, be it physical, or in Manson's case, mental. They're usually pretty homely, nurturing types, like the one in the pic. Or this one

ou think that woman is homely? Hell no (considering what a loser Manson is). In the situation he's in, she's quite a catch. |
Not my type, she looks anorexic. Rushdie certainly seems to have done OK for himself. Judging from those pictures he's gone through the whole United Nations. I didn't know he was living Stateside. |

But Rushdie lives in the Unites States you know greatest country in the world and all that ; not too many muslims living there, fortunately. |
This is an incredibly asinine and bigoted comment. |

He's safer in the U.S. than anywhere else, probably. Which is why he's been living there since 2000. I'm guessing that's at least a factor.
I didn't mean the U.S. is the greatest country in the world for everything- just security / protection. Edwardcatflap gave me sh*t earlier about praising the U.S., so that was a tongue in cheek joke.
The part that's not politically correct but is nonetheless true is, the greater the concentration of Muslims in any given area, the lower Rushdie's odds of survival. |
