Yeah, but their dangerous nuclear weapon capability seems to be progressing in spite of sanctions (and that satirical movie with James Franco/Seth Rogan...) To use another hackneyed expression - "something's got to give"... |

I'm not getting Rteacher's fixation with doom, creating threads that seem to take North Korean rhetoric & hyped-up western "news" headlines at face value.
What happened to the quirky but lighthearted karaoke Krishna guy? |

It's more intelligent to be materially pessimistic and spiritually optimistic - but there's still a chance (and chants) for peace ...

I have very little fear North Korea will perform some sort of pre-emptive attack on the South. None at all. Its a no win. And people cite their leaders presumed insanity as a reason. If they were going they would have done so years and years ago. China doesn't want them to. They will lose and their regime will end. They may act crazy but they "aren't" crazy.
Most this type of saber wagging is for 1. to get more aid and 2. to maintain the external threat mindset to cover up their abysmal domestic issues. |

I think we all can agree, that eventually, there will be something that will set the inevitable into motion. |

Well, both have threatened preemptive strikes - though North Korea's doing so would be more like a mass-murder-suicide, while a U.S. premptive strike would precipitate massive collateral damage ... |
